Introduction

 Introduction

 Assalamualaikum and hello everyone, Welcome to my blog  :)

First and foremost, let me introduce a little bit about myself, my name is Farhah Amani Binti Mohd Ridzuan, a first-year student in Bachelor of Computer Science (Data Science). So, I will be using this Blogger platform to record my transformative journal in my GIG1005 Social Engagement course.

Week 1 (11/3/2021)

        A month of the first-semester break is already done, time sure fly by really fast. I began my first class of Social Engagement. The class started at 9.30 am, usually starting at 9.00 am, but since this is the first meeting, our lecturer gave us some extra time if you want to get more cozy time on your bed, hehe thank you dr. 

        So, we started our first meeting on the Microsoft Team platform. My lecturer for this course would be Dr. Azah Anir Norman. Our class began with Dr asking each of us to open our camera and introduce ourselves by telling our names, hometowns, and majors. I ran as fast as I could just grab my tudung because I was shocked by the sudden instruction, lol Farhah you need to chill duh 😆. Then after everyone finished introducing themselves, Dr briefly explained about this course, and what we will do for the entire semester. From my understanding, students will work in groups to carry out a project with the community. Forgot to mention, my class consists of first-year students of the Information System Department with two major courses, Information Systems, and Data Science. We will work as a team to carry a project throughout this entire semester.

        Next, Dr showed us the previous batch's video to give us a clearer view of what we are going to execute later on. Dr told us that our batch going to be totally different since this will be the first time that Social Engagement course is being held fully online because of so you know Covid-19 pandemic happening. So we need to plan carefully for the next few weeks as proposals need to be approved by Citra before we can execute them later on starting on week 6.

        What I am going to expect from this course? Well I do hope to get know and along well with everyone in this class and really looking forward to creating such a great and memorable journey as well as gaining new experiences.
